Description:
Chris resembles a large manta ray made of crystals, but with a huge spear on her tail. Anybody stabbed by it will quickly petrify into lifeless crystal, their soul trapped inside. Calia can send her out as a separate entity and re-absorb her.
Abilities and Strengths:
Flight: Chris can fly through the air as a manta ray does through water.
Intangibility: As a being made of magical energy, Chris is invulnerable to physical damage. Enchanted and energy weapons can harm her.
Mastery over the solid state of matter: Like Calia, Chris can create/manipulate/destroy solids, sense the movement of solids, as well as transform other solids, liquid, gas or plasma into solid matter of her choice. She is unable to transform solids back into any other state of matter.
Mastery over cold: Chris can manipulate ice and cold, helping her with her solid-based powers. She can remove heat from an area by moving the energy elsewhere. This ability is magical in nature, and can be cancelled by sufficient anti-magic abilities.
Absorbs solids and cold: Chris is able to absorb both solids and cold, healing itself.
Solid Phasing: Chris can phase through solids as if there was nothing there.
Telepathy: Chris communicates with others via telepathy, and can also read minds and feelings. Chris can choose to allow Calia to feel/see/experience what she is experiencing now.
Weaknesses:
Vulnerable to fire: Having an affinity with Ice, Chris is vulnerable to fire, which melts her crystals and exposes her weaker body underneath.
Vulnerable to wind: Having an affinity with Earth, Chris is vulnerable to wind, which easily rips off her covering of crystals, exposing her weaker body underneath.
Huge soul consumption: Chris' hunger for souls increases greatly as she uses her extremely powerful spells.
Power Source: Staying outside Calia will weaken Calia and prevent her from using her stronger spells.
Anti-Magic: Chris will rapidly deteriorate if she is trapped in an anti-magic field, and become unable to use spells.
Personality:
Chris initially did not have a higher form of sentience, acting as a small pet when Calia was a little girl. When Calia reached 16 Gifted years of age, Chris immediately developed her sentience, taking over Calia, absorbing her, and attacking the Terrans for large amounts of soul food, as is the inherent nature of Gifted Guardians. It took Calia's discipline to get some control over Chris, but much damage had been done to the surroundings.
While Chris is generally subservient to Calia, she is not wholly obedient and is actually rather nice, calm and playful, doing things on a whim and even separating herself from Calia to do fun things. Sometimes she amuses herself by harmlessly teasing Calia. Chris will generally avoid harming innocents unless she is hungry, and even then, she will not fully consume their soul, allowing it to grow back.
Chris cares a lot about Calia, and they share genuine concern and feelings for each other.
Other notes:
Chris does not like being called a pet. She is closer to Calia then President Rayfer himself.
Chris may sometimes troll Calia by eating spicy foods and sharing her senses, causing Calia to taste said spicy food in her mouth (which she hates). This is out of playful amusement.
Chris likes chocolate. Calia will feed her with it to make her happy and obedient.
Chris may or may not be Calia's repressed feelings of her youth- a somewhat spoiled and playful, but otherwise nice and cheerful child.
